DETROIT (Jan. 3, 2012) — Consumer automotive magazine Autoweek will air its new television show tonight on the Discovery Channel's Velocity cable network.
“Autoweek's Vinsetta Garage” will cover a variety of topics ranging from customized vehicles and private collections to technological breakthroughs.
“Vinsetta Garage itself is a symbol for Detroiters around all things automotive. And now the venue, and our TV show, will be ground zero for car culture,” Autoweek Vice President and Publisher KC Crain told the Detroit Free Press.
Former Fox Sports and TLC personality Courtney Hanson will host the show. Autoweek's editorial team also will appear in segments, including a piece where they visit Voodo Choppers, a custom motorcycle shop in Clinton Township, Mich., the paper reported.
Vinsetta Garage was an auto repair shop for 91 years before it was purchased last spring by Crain Communications Inc., the parent company of Tire Business. A restaurant also will be opened at the venue this spring.
Autoweek is a Detroit-based sister publication of Tire Business.
