NEW YORK (Aug. 11, 2011) — Singapore-based tire wholesaler Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd. is launching a limited-edition pink sidewalled Radar-brand passenger tire to support its “Mobilizing Hope” campaign to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Omni United's Radar brand has been donating 25 cents for every tire sold to BCRF since May to raise a committed minimum of $250,000. Its goal is to raise $1 million by May 2012.
Radar's first product specifically designed to support this campaign will be a limited edition of its RPX 900 tire, an all-season, high-performance, eco-friendly tire. The Limited Edition has all the features of the RPX900 plus the novelty of a pink sidewall, highlighting the emblematic pink color of the fight against breast cancer.
The tire will have a retail price in the range of $70-$110 and is expected to be available during the fourth quarter in the U.S.
“This is a more visible way to support our Mobilizing Hope campaign to benefit the activities of BCRF,” said G.S. Sareen, president and CEO of Omni United. “We are delighted to be able to develop this limited edition of one of our best selling tires, the RPX900, to reinforce our commitment to supporting breast cancer research.”
Omni United is a distributor of the Radar, Goodride, Roadlux and Corsa brands.
