DANBURY, Conn. (June 8, 2011) — Honeywell International Inc.'s FRAM filter unit has begun its 2011 FRAM Challenge, an online training program for auto service shop counterpersons, technicians and wholesale distributors.
Auto service personnel who register at the FRAM Challenge website can view a new training video on oil filters each month during the contest. Video topics include oil filter anatomy, filtration and engineering testing, cartridge filters, service bulletins and extended oil changes.
The company said the challenge “will deepen your understanding of oil filtration, how filters are engineered and their technological differences. Whether you sell, stock, recommend or install oil filters, the technical content can help you work smarter and build up your professional knowledge.”
The first 3,500 eligible participants to successfully complete all three videos by Aug. 31 will earn a Carhartt Long Sleeve Workwear Shirt.
For every video completed, the company said participants are entered into a random drawing for a chance to win one of five $1,000 value American Express-branded Reward Cards.
Participants completing all three videos also will receive a custom certificate of completion to print and display.
