PIAA Corp. USA has introduced its Si-Tech (silicone technology) flat wiper blade, a modern frameless design that delivers all-season performance.
PIAA's patented silicone-enhanced rubber blades provide wiping performance that surpasses that of conventional blades, the company said, while delivering superior visibility and smooth operation. The frameless design creates more pressure points across the entire length of the blade, eliminating snow and ice build-up.
The Si-Tech is heat and ozone resistant and features an activated silicone-coating system that continually reapplies silicone to the windshield, helping to maintain blade performance for the life of the wiper.
The blade is available for most vehicle applications, with lengths of 16 to 22, 24 and 26 inches.

Equipment Supply Co. (ESCO) has introduced the Skirt Nut model #40125 as a replacement for the common wheel attaching nuts, the company said.
The ESCO Skirt Nut, designed for hub-piloted wheels, centers the rim/tire onto the wheel and prevents clocking, the number one cause of loose wheels that can result in catastrophic wheel offs, ESCO said. The Skirt Nut, ESCO claimed, is the only flange nut in the market that meets and exceeds standard SAE J1965.
The product is a patented design featuring extended threading, which allows it to penetrate through the hub-piloted disk wheel an extra 3/16-inch (5mm) into the stud hole, preventing movement that can result from extra space between the stud and hub base.
Coated in a graphite based sealant, the Skirt Nut will not rust onto the wheel/rim and cause issues when servicing or changing the wheel. One part number fits all 22mm hub-piloted applications.
To maintain correct torque and clamping force, improve tire wear, and eliminate the risk of wheel loss, the company recommended using 10 Skirt Nuts per wheel.
