PINE BROOK, N.J. (Nov. 30, 2010) — The Car Care Council Women's Board awarded WEXCO Industries' AutoTex PINK website with its 2010 Automotive Communications Award in the Business-to-Consumer Educational Article category.
The awards recognize companies and agencies that provide automotive information through advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.
AutoTex PINK supplies windshield wipers, a portion of the sales of which is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. The award recognized the website for its article “Your Car, Like You, Needs the Right Diet,” written by the site's Editor-in-Chief Marcy Watson, as part of the community website's “Healthy Car, Healthy You” campaign to educate women about their vehicles and their health.
The award was presented during the Women's Board reception, Nov. 2, during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Exposition (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Women's Board,” said Paula Lombard, WEXCO president and AutoTex PINK founder. “We have worked hard to build our community and this Automotive Communications Award shows that we are meeting our goal of educating consumers, and women in particular, about their vehicles.”
