ORLANDO, Fla. — General Automotive Co., a North American provider of aftermarket parts and advanced technology for the automotive industry, has launched a direct import program for automotive undercar products.
The program includes brake drums and rotors, wheel hubs and U-joints.
All product lines will have some of the strongest application coverage in the industry, covering domestic, Asian, and European makes, Orlando-based General Automotive said.
The direct import (DI) product lines will come from certified manufacturing facilities, with all part numbers going through a stringent quality control procedure to be validated for the U.S., the company said.
General Automotive formed a joint venture in October with China-based Taichi Automotive called General Automotive China/Taichi Automotive, which it said is designed to focus on the development and sourcing of quality automotive parts while cultivating new manufacturing and distribution opportunities.
Through its China operation General Automotive said it will be able to control and support its product manufacturing and ensure quality, delivery and competitive pricing.
