Bridgestone Americas' Consumer Tire Division has designated ASA Tire Systems Inc. the recommended provider of point-of-sale and accounting enterprise software for its consumer tire dealers throughout North America.
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) and ASA are combining selected ASA products and a tightly integrated suite of BATO interfaces into a new software offering the companies are calling CornerStone powered by ASA, the Merrimack, N.H.-based software provider said.
The new offering will help both single- and multiple-store dealers improve productivity, revenues and customer and employee satisfaction, ASA Tire said during a presentation at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas.
ASA said it will convert 58 dealers using the existing CornerStone system to the new software package by next April before rolling out the new CornerStone to all 3,000 BATO consumer tire dealers through a joint marketing program. The software pricing will be based on the size of the dealership and number of users, with special incentives through Bridgestone.
The current CornerStone program is unable to provide a back-end accounting system, a feature dealers were asking for, according to Phil Pacsi, BATO vice president, consumer tire marketing, U.S. and Canada.
He called the new software offering a powerful tool for our consumer dealers to manage and grow their businesses.
Interfaces include Firestone and Bridgestone national account processing, Firestone credit card processing, automatic inventory replenishment from Bridgestone warehouses, Bridgestone tire wholesale warehouse ordering and automatic shipping notices from Bridgestone.
The system also will include Tire Guide Pro Plus for OE tire fitment data, Mitchell 1 OnDemand5 integration for labor, service and parts information, and off-site data backup and storage.
