GREENVILLE, S.C. (Nov. 15, 2010) — Michelin North America Inc. has awarded a $287,000 “financial boost” to four more local businesses under its Michelin Development Upstate program.
The tire maker, which said it created the program to provide funding and business expertise for socially and economically disadvantaged local businesses, has selected the following businesses to receive loans:
- Dealer Ignition L.L.C., a Greenville-based marketing software agency that provides an easy-to-use online marketing tool for dealers;
- Debra's Hair Studio in Greenwood, S.C., a hair salon that also specializes in hair loss and scalp disorder treatments;
- MERGE, a Greenville-based interactive agency specializing in a consultative approach to designing strategic Web solutions; and
- U Designs Weddings, originally a Greenville-based wedding photography studio, which is now a team of artists offering a variety of in-house wedding services.
Michelin said it continues to accept applications for additional low-interest loans online at its Michelin Development website. Interested companies must qualify as a small- or medium-sized business and must be based in one of the following counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union, S.C.
