WAKEFIELD, Mass. (Nov. 8, 2010) — Maine Industrial Tire L.L.C. has launched a website aimed at reshaping its global market footprint and overall brand presence.
Wakefield-based Maine Industrial Tire launched the site MaineTire.com 11 months after acquiring the manufacturing assets of bankrupt tire distributor GPX International Tire Corp.
The company makes and distributes globally solid tires for conventional fork lift, construction and specialty market applications for the OE and replacement market channels.
Its new site will enable the company to “reach out to a broad array of new industrial clients who would benefit from the quality product offerings manufactured and distributed by this company,” Maine Industrial Tire said. The website's initial launch will provide the firm's customers, site visitors and employees “with a familiar framework of the company's product offerings, in a static format and functionality that was utilized in the past.”
Additional functionality—currently in construction—will include product segment search capability, standard size search and an e-commerce portal for Web product ordering, the company said, noting that it expects the release of the additional website functionality in next year's first quarter.
The company's brand portfolio includes the MaineTire, MITL, ITL and Brawler brands. It operates plants in Gorham, Maine; Red Lion, Pa.; and Hebei, China
