LAS VEGAS (Nov. 3, 2010) – Bridgestone Americas' Consumer Tire Division has designated ASA Tire Systems Inc. the recommended provider of point-of-sale and accounting enterprise software for its consumer tire dealers throughout North America.
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) and ASA are combining selected ASA products and a “tightly integrated suite” of BATO interfaces into a new software offering the companies are calling “CornerStone powered by ASA,” the Merrimack, N.H.-based software provider said.
The new offering will help both single- and multiple-store dealers improve productivity, revenues and customer and employee satisfaction, ASA Tire said.
ASA said it will convert existing CornerStone dealers to the new software package before rolling out the new CornerStone to BATO consumer tire dealers. That process should last through the first quarter of 2011.
Adding BATO's consumer dealers to the CornerStone system will expand the number of U.S. locations using it to more than 5,000, ASA said.
Phil Pacsi, BATO vice president, consumer tire marketing, U.S. and Canada, called the new software offering a “powerful tool for our consumer dealers to manage and grow their businesses.”
ASA did not say whether the timing of the rollout also applies to dealers in Canada.
ASA, a business unit of ASA International Ltd., plans to discuss more details of the agreement at a press conference Nov. 4 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas.
