AKRON (Nov. 2, 2010) — The 2010 International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC), which recently was held in Cleveland, has presented $2,950 to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Advocacy Alliance.
As part of ITEC, which was sponsored by Tire Business and its Akron-based sister publication Rubber & Plastics News, show promoters pledged to donate $1 for every person who walked through the doors at Cleveland's I-X Center to attend the trade show. To drive home the support for the Komen cause—which seeks a cure for breast cancer—every show attendee was given a rubber wrist band that read “ITEC Professionals Support (Breast Cancer Research) ITEC 2010.”
