Sears Holdings Corp. has named former Tire Centers L.L.C. (TCI) executive Joe Finney a company senior vice president and president of Sears Automotive Group.
Mr. Finney joined Sears on Aug. 2 after leaving his post earlier this year at TCI, a subsidiary of Michelin North America Inc. Guy Pekle took over in May as TCI's president and CEO.
In his new role at Sears, Mr. Finney will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the automotive business both in store and online, a company spokeswoman said.
He replaces Bill Jackson, who left the company to pursue other interests only 16 months after joining Sears.
Mr. Pekle joined Clermont-Ferrand, France-based Group Michelin in October 1986. Since March 2006, he served as vice president of commercial sales for Michelin North America's Michelin Americas Truck Tires division. Prior to that he served as president of Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. and also president of Michelin Retread Technologies (Canada) Inc.
