BOWIE, Md. (Aug. 12, 2010) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has named six individuals who will be inducted into its Tire Industry Hall of Fame.
The inductees are: Gus Hawkinson, owner of Hawkinson Tire Consulting; Nick Hodel, co-founder of Northwest Tire Factory L.L.C. and former CEO of Portland Tire Factory; Russell MacCleery, a retired industry veteran who was part of TIA's forerunner trade group, the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association (NTDRA); Gary Nash, director of OTR sales, Yokohama Tire Corp.; Jerry White, chairman of White Tire Supply; and Don Blythe, former executive director of the Western Canada Tire Dealers Association.
The Hall of Fame inductions are part of TIA's Tire Industry Honors event, which will take place from 6-7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Paris Hotel in Las Vegas during the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show.
