MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Aug. 10, 2010) — Continental Tire the Americas has donated $15,000 to American Car Care Centers Inc.'s (ACCC) fundraising efforts for the Children's Miracle Network.
The Fort Mill, S.C.-based tire maker's donation will be earmarked for hospitals in various locations where ACCC member dealers reside, ACCC said.
“Conti's generous gesture of support at the onset of our campaign for Children's Miracle network is not surprising,” said Jeremy Lewin, ACCC director of marketing. “Continental Tire is an extremely charitable organization, and they are always quick to support ACCC dealers in any way they can. They are true partners.”
The Children's Miracle Network is an international nonprofit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children's hospitals across the U.S. ACCC launched an initiative with the organization in 2009 to offer customers at its members' dealerships the chance to donate money to hospitals within their own communities.
Last year, ACCC dealers raised more than $150,000 for Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
