HARTVILLE, Ohio (July 26, 2010) — Trelleborg Wheel Systems has introduced an updated tread design for its TM900 High Power agricultural tire.
Compared to the previous version, Trelleborg said the tread—in size 710/70R42—has a new lug profile with 15 percent larger lug volume.
“Our new 710/70R42 TM900 High Power is the perfect combination of unrivalled field performance and outstanding road behavior. This is a major advantage in modern extra large agricultural tires,” said Emiliana Vesco, product manager of Hartville-based Trelleborg's agriculture division. “This new design optimizes field performance, guaranteeing a traction in furrow improved by 9 percent compared to the previous version and gives outstanding results on the road with a 25-percent increase in wear resistance and five percent improvement in handling and comfort.”
TM900 High Power tires are specially developed to be fitted onto high-power agricultural vehicles and tractors. According to Trelleborg, they guarantee performance at high speeds, assure superior traction capacity and cope with the demand for increasingly large loads with minimal soil compaction for maximum agronomic yield.
