PHOENIX (June 28, 2010) — Universal Technical Institute Inc. (UTI) has opened its 11th U.S. campus, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and has enrolled 96 students for training for careers as automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians.
The UTI campus has 95,000 square feet of administrative, classroom and lab space and is configured to accommodate about 1,000 students specializing in automotive and diesel technician training.
“The opening of our 11th campus coincides with the introduction of our new blended learning curriculum, which offers more convenience and training flexibility for our students and increases operating efficiencies at the campus.” said Kimberly McWaters, president and CEO of Phoenix-based UTI.
UTI offers undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate programs at campuses across the U.S., as well as manufacturer-specific training programs at dedicated training centers. The school also provides specialized post-secondary education programs under the banner of NASCAR Technical Institute, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Marine Mechanics Institute.
