TIVOLI, Italy (June 3, 2010) — Trelleborg Wheel Systems S.p.A. will increase prices worldwide on its industrial and construction tires on July 1.
The increase will be between 5 and 7 percent in North and South America, according to Trelleborg's Industrial Tires Business Unit. The tire maker last raised prices on these product lines on March 1, between 5 and 10 percent.
Trelleborg cited escalating raw material and transportation costs and currency fluctuations as reasons for the increase. Prices are going up 7 to 10 percent in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa, the firm said.
