AMHERST, N.H. (May 25, 2010) — WECnology L.L.C., a new technology firm founded by Tire Industry Association President Wayne Croswell, has announced its first business partners, or “WECnologists.”
AdvantageID L.L.C., wiSource Solutions and CenPOS all have been granted the status of “WECnologist,” according to a WECnology press release.
AdvantageID's products include finished goods labeling, bar coding, business forms and handheld technologies. Tim Loden, company founder, is a former founding partner of Open Road Technologies, a pioneer in retreading software and the use of handheld technologies throughout the tire industry, according to WECnology.
wiSource Solutions has nationwide offerings in the telecom and data universe. WECnology said it was impressed with the wiSource philosophy, as they are a single point of contact that coordinates between an array of specialized experts. wiSource provides specialized access to “Tier 1” voice and data carriers and has negotiated enhanced terms and programs for their clients. Its strategic partners include AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Paetec, Comcast, Granite, Discrete Wireless, FPL Fibernet, and TracFone.
CenPOS claims to offer a unique patented pending technology solution that improves the process of credit and debit card transactions without having to change a tire dealer's existing processing bank relationship, WECnology said. The firm's software and hardware solution interacts with both employee and customers at the point of sale and manages the decision-making process to assure that credit card and debit card transactions qualify for the best interchange when they are presented to the processing bank.
