LAS VEGAS (March 30, 2010) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) are joint sponsors of the new Global Tire Expo—Powered By TIA, a tire-only part of the SEMA Show scheduled for the Las Vegas Convention Center Nov. 2-5.
The new Expo will be open to all aspects of the tire industry, including automotive, commercial, retreading and recycling, TIA said in a press release. To differentiate itself from the SEMA Show, the Expo will have its own branding, entrance units and color scheme, the Bowie, Md.-based trade association said. Tire manufacturers' booths at the Expo will be placed dead center for greater prominence, and TIA pledged to work with each tire maker one-on-one to assist them with every aspect of exhibiting at the show.
Educational sessions at the Expo will include “TPMS at 10,” “Tires at 2,” and “Management at 4,” TIA said. It added that SEMA will place a permanent TIA representative on its Show Committee, and also on its Tire & Wheel Council, to demonstrate their commitment to the new Expo.
To reserve exhibition space at the Expo, contact SEMA's trade show Web site. Attendee registration will begin in April, TIA said.
