WASHINGTON (Dec. 9, 2009)— Bridgestone Americas is one of 32 U.S. corporations that have pledged make significant improvements to their industrial energy efficiency under the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) new Save Energy Now LEADER Program.
The LEADER Program is a new component of DOE's Save Energy Now initiative, through which companies partner with the agency to identify opportunities for energy and cost savings, DOE said in a press release.
Besides Bridgestone, other companies in the LEADER Program include 3M Corp., Dow Chemical Co., Owens Corning Inc., PPG Industries Inc. and Volvo Trucks Inc.
