EDMONTON, Alberta (Aug. 4, 2009) — Fountain Tire is enacting a program called Certificates of Recognition (COR) to help it achieve its goal of companywide safety excellence.
The COR program sets the dealership's safety standard in every province that it operates, according to Fountain Tire.
“It's important to recognize that each person entering a Fountain Tire, whether it be a customer or associate, is entering a secure and safe environment,” said Janice Robertson, Fountain Tire's manager of safety. “We display our safety policies in every Fountain Tire showroom and augment them with a Safety Communication Centre for people to get more information or provide feedback.”
Fountain Tire said dialogue is the key to success in safety and initiatives allowing the opportunity to communicate ideas, concerns or questions are firmly in place.
Any customer, contractor, company or employee may use various resources, the dealership said, including a safety help desk to accept e-mails from all sources and a toll-free hotline available 24/7.
“You measure the tread depth of a tire to determine its continued use, and through use of these safety initiatives, we're measuring the program's continued use” Ms. Robertson said. “The program of safety is continually being refined and calibrated according to these measured findings.”
