WAYNE, N.J. (May 22, 2009) — Hankook Tire America Corp. is offering consumers a $50 mail-in rebate with the purchase of a set of four Ventus V12 evo high-performance tires.

The “Tame the Road” mail-in rebate program is being offered to consumers who purchase four Ventus V12 evo tires in any size between June 1 and August 31 from Hankook dealers.

The Ventus V12 evo retails for about $100 to more than $250 per tire, depending on size, according to a sampling of on-line offers.

Hankook will promote the $50 rebate in consumer magazines such as “Car and Driver,” “Super Street,” “Modified” and “Sporting News.” The Wayne, N.J.-based company said the promotion will include Web banner ads, especially on search engines Google and Yahoo, which will link to Hankook's Web site and dealer locater.

In addition, Hankook is providing point-of-sale posters, ad maker materials and a radio script to help retailers promote the rebate in their local markets.

“Hankook is listening to the needs of our dealers and consumers alike,” said Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communications, Hankook Tire America Corp. “We understand that in today's challenging economic environment, Hankook dealers are looking for a competitive edge and consumers are looking for the most value for their purchase. With this rebate offer we believe we're accomplishing both.”

The W- and Y-rated Ventus V12 evo is available in more than 60 sizes in 17- to 21-inch rim diameters. The tire features Hankook's Kontrol Technology and HPSR (High Tg Polymer and Specific Resin) compound for traction and braking on wet roads.
