AKRON (April 3, 2009) — Myers Industries Inc. has named Todd Smith managing director of the distribution segment.
Mr. Smith's new responsibilities include Myers Tire Supply Distribution, Myers Tire Supply International and Patch Rubber brands.
He joined Myers in 2007 as plant manager of its Michigan rubber products business. His most recent position was director of operations for the company's Cadillac, Mich., and Hannibal, Mo., facilities.
Before joining Myers, Mr. Smith worked for 17 years at Goodyear in various managerial positions, including operations manager for Goodyear's Fayetteville, N.C., plant.
