LAS VEGAS (March 13, 2009) — Pathway Polymers was among the winners of the “most innovative products” contest during the World of Concrete convention, Feb. 3-6 in Las Vegas.
The contest showcased new products exhibited at the convention for the concrete construction industry and tallied attendees' votes in 14 categories, including concrete equipment, tools and supplies. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Pathway's TyrFil recycling system won in the “other” category.
The equipment is designed for the aftermarket and OE commercial tire flatproofing market. The AutoFil Recycler for the aftermarket processes recycled poly-fill and mixes it with a small amount of virgin poly-fill to create a homogenous blended tire fill. The TrioFil Recycler for the OE market mixes recycled rubber with virgin poly-fill. The company is promoting the equipment as a way to divert used poly-fill and rubber from landfills and to reduce a tire dealer's flatproofing material costs by up to 65 percent.
