TORONTO (Jan. 26, 2009) — Continental Tire Canada Inc. has made two appointments to replace executives who left the company recently.
Conti named Jay Dhillon to interim general market manager, replacing Guy Hardiman, and Michael Raynes as interim controller, replacing Jayesing Heetoo. Messrs. Hardiman and Heetoo have left the company, according to a company spokeswoman.
Mr. Dhillon will be responsible for continuing the firm's growth in profitability and improving the overall business operation of Continental Tire Canada. He will report directly to Andreas Gerstenberger, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Continental Tire North America Inc.
Mr. Raynes will be responsible for evaluating and supporting the financial and credit processes and operations, while providing recommendations to management for both the passenger-light truck and commercial tire divisions. He will report to Mr. Dhillon.
Conti did not say why Messrs. Hardiman and Heetoo left the company, other than for “future endeavors” outside of Conti. Mr. Hardiman was promoted to the general market manager post only a year ago.
“These further appointments will improve the way we do business and will position Continental Tire for long-term growth in Canada,” said Matthias Schoenberg, CEO of Continental Tire North America.
“Continental Tire Canada has enjoyed phenomenal growth in recent years and will continue to do the same in the future. These appointments will help align the necessary supporting business processes with continued growth of Continental Tire Canada,” Mr. Gerstenberger said.
