Thomas Beattie, 63, co-owner of North Gateway Tire Co. in Medina, Ohio, died Sept. 5.
Wayne Becker, 71, CEO and owner of Becker Tire & Treading Inc. in Great Bend, Kan., died Nov. 5.
E.R. ``Bud'' Brown, 83, founder of Bud Brown Tire Center in Spokane, Wash., and past president of the former National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association (NTDRA) and the Northwest Tire Dealers Association, died April 1.
James ``Jerry'' Gerrard, 68, co-founder and president of Gerrard Tire Co. in Charlotte, N.C., died Jan. 25.
Emil B. Jensen, 99, founder of B&J Manufacturing Co. and a member of the Tire Industry Association Hall of Fame, died March 11.
Isaiah ``Art'' Lutz, 93, founder of Lutz Tire Co. Inc. in Portland, Ore., and past president of the NTDRA and the Northwest Tire Dealers Association, died Nov. 23.
Gregory Madden, 56, owner and founder of business software supplier MaddenCo Inc., died Oct. 24.
Philip ``Flip'' Smith, 61, owner of Flip's Tire Center & Performance Concepts in Van Nuys, Calif., and a 1995 recipient of the Tire Business Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award, died June 23.
Greg Weld, 64, who raced his way into the sprint car record book and founded Weld Wheel Industries and Greg Weld Competition Wheels, died Aug. 4.
David Wilkins, 52, longtime Goodyear public relations staff member who handled publicity for truck, OTR, aviation and Dunlop-brand tires, died Nov. 2.
Luther ``Doc'' Woods, 77, founder of Northern Tire Inc. in Ishpeming, Mich., died Oct. 15.
