Hennessy Industries Inc. has introduced five Coats-brand heavy-duty Euro-style tire changers and a Coats-brand wheel balancer to its product line.
LaVergne, Tenn.-based Hennessy's Coats model 1250-3D wheel balancer provides technicians with a system that uses three dimensional data entry to automatically measure offset, diameter and width of the tire. It also features a manual control backup.
The balancer automatically positions a tire and wheel assembly at each corrective weight position, increasing accuracy and overall cycle time. Laser guided operation marks the location for wheel weight placement.
The unit also features an LED display and control panel, an automatic start hood, eight balancing modes and a 1.5 HP Direct Drive motor.
According to Hennessy, each of its recently released heavy-duty tire changers are more automated than previous Coats models, and they come with a wide range of accessories to offer customers increased ease of use and efficiency.
The Coats CHD-9551 is being billed as the top-of-the-line tire changer offered by Coats and is designed for high-volume shops. Offering users the most automated features and widest range of fittings in the CHD line, this model makes it easy to tackle the super-single, skidder, agricultural and off-road tires. An optional wireless remote gives users the freedom to move around the machine without bulky cables, the company said.
Designed for busy shops servicing a large range of fitments, the Coats CHD-9043 tire changer can handle a variety of applications and large wheel fitments, Hennessy said. A remote controlled, hydraulically operated tool arm conserves effort and increases tire-changing turnaround time, aided by a solid, single-piece frame that allows for increased capacity and durability.
The Coats CHD-9041 tire changer is aimed at moderate- to high-volume shops and fleets with varying fitments. The model features an extended capacity four-jaw chuck for use on a large range of applications.
The company's new Coats CHD-6330 tire changer is designed for shops with increasing volume that have a need for easy-to-use equipment. It is Hennessy's most compact jaw-style clamping machine available, featuring floating jaws that match wheel contours for improved grip and safety. The unit's four-jaw chuck allows for fast and easy clamping of virtually all rim styles including demountable, reverse and standard disc, and off-road style wheels.
The new Coats CHD-4730 tire changer, slated for smaller fleets and tire shops, has a compact design that functions well in tight areas. The unit, which features swing-arm-mounted controls, makes manual hub nut and cone style mounting simple and fast, Hennessy said.
Each new CHD model offers standard and optional accessories, depending on the model.
