SHANGHAI, China, (Nov. 21, 2008) — Goodyear´s Assurance with ArmorGrip Technology tire has received the 2008 “Annual Product of the Year Award” from Auto magazine, an automotive publication in China.
Goodyear introduced Assurance with ArmorGrip Technology in China last April. The tire was specifically developed for the Asian market and is not available elsewhere.
The magazine's judging panel compared Assurance with Bridgestone, Hankook, BFGoodrich, Kumho, and Cooper products.
“Goodyear strives to develop products for the exacting standards of today´s drivers,” said Michael Martens, managing director of North Asia for Goodyear´s Asia Pacific region. “The receipt of awards such as this reinforces the fact that we are on track toward achieving our goal.”
