FLORENCE, Ky. (Nov. 11, 2008) — InterStar North America Inc., a maintenance and repair management network serving the transportation industry, has opened an Oliver Rubber Co. retreading plant near its headquarters in Florence under the name Retread America.
Rodney Goderwis, president of Retread America, said in a prepared statement his company chose Oliver Rubber's retreading equipment and supplies because Oliver “is a proven industry supplier of quality retreads, and we are confident in the company's ability to provide excellent retreading products to our customers.”
He added that the selection of Oliver and its broad product lines “will enable us to offer premium retreads at value prices for all segments.”
InterStar will use retreads produced by Retread America to address the needs of its intermodal and emergency response system (ERS) for its commercial fleet customers, according to Retread America.
Oliver President Bill Guzick said the company looks forward “to working with Retread America and InterStar to develop the ERS and intermodal business to its full potential.”
