In the ``Mythbuster'' story in the Oct. 27 issue, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) pointed out that in the second tire ``myth'' regarding motorists getting better gas mileage by exceeding a tire's recommended pressure, there was an error in the rebuttal. TIA said inflating tires at or beyond the maximum recommended pressure decreasesnot increasestread wear prematurely.
