FULLERTON, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2008) —Yokohama Tire Corp. has launched a dealer and consumer promotion campaign connected with two National Football League teams and two college football teams.
The event is tied to the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, the University of California-Los Angeles Bruins and University of Southern California Trojans.
During the “Home Team Pride” jersey promotion, set for Aug. 30 through Oct. 15, tire dealers in the target markets will offer free replica team jerseys to customers who purchase any four Yokohama tires.
The Fullerton-based subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. said it will provide signage, product displays and events at the stadiums; radio and television spots; presence on the teams' Web sites and newsletters; and other corporate identifications.
The football promotion is a follow-up to Yokohama's marketing programs with three National Basketball Association teams—Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors—and two Triple-A minor league teams—Scranton Yankees and Memphis Redbirds.
