FAIRLAWN, Ohio (Aug. 27, 2008) — Former Goodyear executive Joseph Gingo, who now serves as chairman and CEO of A. Schulman Inc., has joined the board of directors overseeing Veyance Technologies Inc., the exclusive manufacturer and marketer of Goodyear-branded engineered products.
Veyance President and CEO Tim Toppen said Mr. Gingo's “broad experience includes leading our business 10 years ago when we were a division” of Goodyear. The election of Mr. Gingo increases the size of Veyance´s governing board to seven. Veyance—based in Fairlawn, an Akron suburb—was formed a year ago when Goodyear divested its Engineered Products division.
Mr. Gingo, 63, joined A. Schulman last December after a 41-year career at Goodyear that included serving as executive vice president, quality systems and chief technical officer.
