WAYNE, N.J. (Aug. 14, 2008) — Hankook Tire America Corp. will raise prices up to 10 percent on its line of passenger, light truck and medium duty truck tires in the U.S., effective Oct. 1.
The Wayne-based tire maker said the amount of increase will differ between various product lines and sizes. A decision about an increase in Canadian prices is “under consideration,” a spokesperson said.
Hankook Tire America Corp. is the North American marketing and manufacturing subsidiary of South Korea's Hankook Tire Co.
Hankook last raised prices in the U.S. on July 1, by up to 8 percent on passenger and light truck tires and up to 5 percent on truck tires.
