NASHUA, N.H. (Aug. 5, 2008) — ASA Tire Systems has updated its Web site, asatire.com, and launched a business management software solution.
At a press conference in Akron, the Nashua-based company unveiled its ASA AutoRepairMaster software, its first program aimed at automotive service businesses. The new point-of-sale program offers inventory access, e-commerce abilities, national account interfaces, sales aids, marketing tools and financial solutions among other features. It is being offered as part of the company's “family of products,” which also includes TireMaster and TreadX.
“What we realized was a lot of people in the tire business obviously do service, and we're finding more and more of them are doing service, and some of them are doing more service than tires,” ASA President Wayne Croswell said. “It was a natural progression to say let's look at the service market.”
During the press conference, reporters were taken on a virtual tour of the company's new Web site, which Mr. Croswell said is “less confusing” than it was before the re-launch. The site provides information on the company's products and services and assists visitors in choosing the program that best fits their dealership.
Mr. Croswell said both the addition of the AutoRepairMaster software and the changes to the Web site are part of ASA's efforts to update its image.
“ASA Tire is in the process of what we're calling rebranding our company, how we go to market, the whole strategy, our family of products and even the target markets we have,” he said.
