BOWIE, Md. (June 25, 2008) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has released its fall schedule for the Automotive Tire Service (ATS) and Commercial Tire Service (CTS) certified instructor programs.
The courses will be held in Baltimore and Denver. Two ATS courses are slated for Oct. 7-10 and Oct. 7-9 in Baltimore, and two ATS courses will be held Oct. 21-24 and Oct. 21-23 in Denver.
CTS programs are scheduled for Sept. 23-26 and Sept. 24-26 in Denver as well as Dec. 9-12 and Dec. 10-12 in Baltimore.
The CTS program meets the requirements laid out by OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.177, and the ATS program covers every aspect of passenger and light truck service, including lifting, balancing, mounting and demounting, TIA said. Some businesses with TIA-certified personnel may qualify for insurance discounts and be able to market their expertise to potential customers, the association said.
TIA also said students who successfully complete the programs can return to their companies and conduct in-house Certified ATS/CTS technician or instructor classes.
