KENOSHA, Wis. (June 5, 2008) — Snap-on Inc. appointed Nathan Jones to its board of directors, effective July 1.
Mr. Jones, 52, worked for Deere & Co. for 29 years, serving the business in a number of capacities. He spent 10 years as a senior officer and eight as a senior vice president and chief financial officer. He also was president of Deere's Worldwide Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division before retiring last December.
W. Dudley Lehman, Snap-on director and chair of its Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee, said Mr. Jones' “broad set of financial and operational skills and experience will greatly benefit the board and Snap-on.”
