BEDFORD, Texas (March 17, 2008) — Longtime automotive trainer Charlie Fewell will be the keynote speaker for the annual Automotive Service Association (ASA) convention, May 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif.
Mr. Fewell, who heads the training and consulting company Charlie Fewell & Associates in Olive Branch, Mo., will talk on “Five Stepping Stones to Success” May 2 during the convention's Friday luncheon. His topic will cover how the most productive people in life use the stepping stones of success to help them reach the goals they were meant to achieve.
He has been an automotive aftermarket technical trainer, customer service manager, training manager and business management trainer for 30 years. Mr. Fewell, who was associated with General Motors Corp. for 24 years, is an Automotive Management Institute (AMI) instructor, has written many articles for the automotive industry and received awards for his contributions to the industry, according to Bedford-based ASA.
The convention agenda also will include the ASA board of directors meeting; a “State of the Association” address by Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive; an affiliate assembly meeting; a mechanical and collision division parts forum; two AMI-approved courses; and ASA's annual “Celebration of Excellence” awards ceremony, which will again host the Automotive Management Institute graduation ceremony.
