CINCINNATI (March 11, 2008) — Doran Manufacturing L.L.C. will introduce a user-friendly tire pressure monitor (TPM) system for commercial vehicles at the Mid-America Trucking Show March 27-29 in Louisville, Ky.
The company said its Doran 360HD system can monitor up to 36 tires for truck, tractor and trailer applications and features the company's new “Green Means GOOD” indicator technology, which alerts drivers through multiple alarms (audible, location, pressure and warning symbol).
The new system, which takes roughly an hour to install, includes a monitor and digital display equipped with four-way navigational buttons. In addition, the system includes a sleep mode that monitors pressure while the vehicle is not running and displays warnings when the driver turns the ignition again.
“The Doran 360HD was designed, from the ground up, to be the most versatile and easiest to use tire pressure monitoring system for trucks,” General Manager Jim Samocki said. “From ease of installation, to at-a-glance status, to the date/time stamp storage of alarms, the 360HD delivers value and performance to fleet managers, service technicians and drivers.”
The system works with traditional dual-wheel configuration or wide-base single-configuration trucks, according to the company.
Cincinnati-based Doran Manufacturing has made transportation safety products for more than 35 years.
