MONROVIA, Calif. (March 3, 2008) — China Manufacturers Alliance (CMA) L.L.C. has become a member of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB).
CMA said the affiliation is an important part of its marketing strategy for its Double Coin-brand tires in North America because it shows the brand “is committed to pursuing the promotion of retreading in North America as well as enhancing its image.”
“We realize that the initial tread life of a tire is not the only factor in how a fleet tracks its costs,” said Aaron Murphy, vice president at CMA. “Tires must retread, and retread again.”
CMA offers a two retreadings casing guarantee for its Double Coin truck tires.
Mr. Murphy called the company's membership in TRIB “an important economic and ecological partnership. We understand that purchasing a new tire is not always an option and because the energy and natural resources used in the retread production process are lower than new tires, it provides a viable alternative that is both cost effective and environmentally friendly.”
Monrovia-based CMA, a cooperative of several major Chinese tire manufacturers in the U.S. and European marketplaces, is a subsidiary of Double Coin Holdings Ltd.
