AKRON (Oct. 26, 2007) — Goodyear has named two executives to positions in its North American Tire marketing and retail operations.
Brett Ponton will serve as vice president, marketing for NAT's consumer replacement business, a new position at NAT. He will manage the marketing strategy and execution for the Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly and associate brands. Scott Vogel will replace Mr. Ponton in his former post as vice president, retail.
Mr. Ponton has worked for Goodyear for 16 years. Mr. Vogel most recently was president of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, Valvoline's retail arm. In his new assignment, Mr. Vogel oversees Goodyear's 750 company-owned retail stores.
“Both of these leaders will further build our capabilities in our North American consumer business,” said Larry Mason, president of North American consumer tires.
