    IITDA names new executive vp

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana-Illinois Tire Dealers Association (IITDA) has named Ken McCune executive vice president, replacing John Buettner, who retired.

Mr. McCune recently retired from Goodyear after 29 years with the company. He had served as a district/region sales manager for Goodyear's retail stores division in central Indiana and has been on the IITDA's board of directors the past five years.

On the association's Web site, www.iitda.org, Mr. McCune said that his vision for the group is to support and enhance the profitability of its members.

A native of Hammond, Ind., Mr. McCune holds a bachelor's degree in marketing management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

    ASA launches health plan

BEDFORD, Texas-The Automotive Industry Health Insurance Trust (A-HIT), a new health insurance trust plan, is now available to Automotive Service Association (ASA) members in Kansas, Missouri and Texas, the trade group said.

A-HIT provides ASA members with access to a number of different health plans, and offers group benefits including dental and medical plans, a premium-only plan, flexible spending accounts and health reimbursement arrangements.

An individual short-term medical product also is available, the association said, adding that it plans to complete the rollout of A-HIT nationwide by year-end.

    SEMA members well represented

DIAMOND BAR, Calif.-The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) reported that, for the first time ever, SEMA-member companies are represented in each U.S. Congressional district.

The Diamond Bar-based trade group said its members are located in each of the nation's 435 Congressional districts plus the District of Columbia.

Nine California districts, as well as that of Rep. Joseph Knollenberg (R-Mich.), make it on the top 10 list of Congressional districts in terms of number of SEMA members, according to the association.

Heading the list is the district of Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus member Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) with 112 SEMA member companies. A list of SEMA members in each Congressional district is available at www.sema.org.
