BETHESDA, Md. (June 19, 2007) — The Car Care Council's Women's Board plans to pitch the automotive industry as a career choice to young people at the American School Counselor Association Conference, June 23-26 in Denver.
About 1,800 school counselors, counselor educators, supervisors and graduate students are expected to attend, the council said.
“Attending this convention provides the Women's Board with a unique opportunity to educate school counselors about the automotive aftermarket and, specifically, careers for young women,” said Katie Noga, president of the board.
The board is made up of men and women from the industry who aim to inform female audiences about proper vehicle maintenance and safety while encouraging young women to choose careers in the field.
