TORONTO, Ontario (March 6, 2007) — The Ontario Tire Dealers Association (OTDA) will hold its annual trade show and conference Sept. 26-28 in conjunction with the recently announced Automechanika Canada event.
The OTDA will be responsible for a tire and wheel pavilion at Automechanika and will be involved in providing speakers and marketing the event, according to Business Information Group and Messe Frankfurt, the organizers of Automechanika Canada.
“The addition of this new partnership with OTDA simply adds to our formula for success,” said David Audrain, president of Messe Frankfurt. The OTDA's pavilion will cover 7,500 square feet and encompass 50 or so exhibitors, according to the organizers, who said the new partnership will benefit suppliers, tire dealers and the entire aftermarket industry.
The tire and wheel pavilion will feature exhibitors of tires, wheels, wheel accessories, rims, hoists, lifts, equipment and fittings, compressors, air tools, parts and more.
Messe Frankfurt announced Automechanika Canada in January as the 12th iteration of the Automechanika concept, which has been operating in Germany for several decades.
The organizers expect Automechanika Canada will attract more than 250 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors. Featured product groups will include parts/systems, accessories/tuning, repair/maintenance, service station/car wash and tires/wheels.
Messe Frankfurt has staged an Automechanika event in Mexico every year for the past 12 years. This year's PAACE Automechanika Mexico is slated for July 11-13 at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City. Last year's event drew more than 17,500 visitors and 546 exhibitors.
Messe Frankfurt is promoting other Automechanika exhibitions this year in Malaysia, Turkey, Russia, Dubai and China. Next year there are events set for Italy, Thailand, Argentina and Frankfurt.
