CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Dec. 28, 2006) — Plaza Tire Service Inc. is planning to open four stores in 2007, expanding the dealership's network to 49 locations in four states.
The new locations will be in Sparta, Ill., and Lake Saint Charles, Chesterfield and Scott City, Mo., the company said, with the Scott City outlet opening as early as April. Ground-breaking there is scheduled for early January.
The expansion plan is on top of two store openings in the second half of 2006, in Desloge and Piedmont, Mo.
The Desloge location opened Sept. 15 after a short renovation. It operated as Quality Tire prior to Plaza Tire buying it and complements existing Plaza Tire stores in Park Hills and Farmington, Mo., the company said.
The other store, in Piedmont, is a newly built five-bay outlet. It brought Plaza Tire's network of stores in Missouri to 30. The dealership's other stores are in Illinois, Kentucky and Arkansas.
Plaza Tire stores carry Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton, Michelin, Continental, Yokohama, Pirelli and Toyo tires and perform a range of automotive services, including brakes, shocks, struts, balancing, alignments, oil changes and lubes and battery services.
Plaza Tire locations are open Monday through Saturday.
