The Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) has translated five of its brochures into Spanish for distribution to consumers.
The translated brochures are: Standards of Service; How to Talk with an Auto Repair Technician; How to Pick an Auto Repair Shop; How to Get Satisfaction from an Auto Repair Shop; and About this MAP-Accredited Facility.
MAP also is working on translating other information into Spanish, including the introductions to each of its seven ``Uniform Inspection & Communication Standards'' (UICS) manuals, the ``MAP Reason Codes'' and pocket cards containing the ``Standards of Service'' and UICS codes.
Larry Hecker, MAP president, said he hopes the translations will help consumers ``gain a better rapport with their local repair shops.''
Packages of 50 brochures are available for $25; individual copies are available at MAP's Web site, www.motorist.org.
