LINCOLN, Neb. (Nov. 22, 2006) — For the 17th consecutive year, T.O. Haas Tire has earned the “Best Tire Store” award in a local radio station's “Best of Lincoln” contest.
Sponsored by KFOR Radio, the contest consists of a public opinion survey conducted by Research Associates of Lincoln. In May and June, the public voted on a host of categories ranging from grocers and restaurants to dry cleaners and coffee. Lincoln-based T.O. Haas Tire emerged as the overall winner in the tire stores category.
“Winning the Best of Lincoln Award is a huge honor, because the customer experience is at the heart of everything we do,” said George Hoellen, president of T.O. Haas Tire. “We've built the success of our company on customer satisfaction, so to accept this award for 17 consecutive years speaks volumes about our staff and facilities.”
T.O. Haas Tire said it has stacked up a collection of awards in the company's 59-year history. Some of the most notable are:
* The Better Business Bureau Integrity Award in 2002;
* Best of Omaha in 2006;
* Reader's Choice Award in 2006;
* Nebraska Crime Prevention Association Vehicle Award in 1998; and
* The Gage Country Favorite winner for 11 of the last 13 years.
The company's late founder T.O. Haas received Tire Business' Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award in 1997.
The dealership operates a chain of 29 retail tire and automotive service facilities in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa.
