NASHUA, N.H (Nov. 21, 2006) — ASA Tire Systems Inc. has released TireMaster POS, a new version of the standard TireMaster software, and added an inventory program for product users.
TireMaster POS provides point-of-sale, inventory control, accounts receivable, vehicle history, customer management and a recommended-services checklist. Recently, ASA Tire said many smaller tire dealers expressed a need for a “tire specific,” budget-priced software system, and the company developed the new software to be implemented quickly for point of sale.
As a dealer's business needs evolve, the software can be upgraded to include a marketing module and a full accounting system that includes a general ledger, check register and accounts payable tools, according to ASA Tire. A variety of products including national-account processing programs, fitment guides, labor estimators, and credit-card processing programs also can be added.
Originally priced at $2,995, the software is being offered at a 66 percent price reduction for a limited time.
Wayne Croswell, president of ASA Tire Systems, said he's not sure “how long we will run this special introductory price, but the response has been overwhelming.”
ASA Tire also announced the release of version 7.3.0 of TireMaster software. The company said the new version includes advanced accounting functions with recurring journal entries, customer color-coding for POS, improved national and government account processing and enhanced work order handling.
The company also has issued an add-on product for TireMaster users called the TireMaster Inventory Exchange Program.
The new program creates an inventory availability pool between separately owned tire dealer stores operating on TireMaster. The enhancement allows dealers to share inventory information and view inventory quantity available at other stores.
ASA Tire said the option provides quick information and direct access to the inventory of “friendly competitors” right at the counter. It is designed to decrease lost sales at the counter from inventory shortages.
“With the TireMaster Inventory Exchange, our customers now have the ability to leverage their relationships with other dealers in the area, ensuring that they will be able to meet the needs of the customer on the other side of the counter,” said Dave Duchesne, vice president of sales for ASA tire Systems. “Even if they are out of stock, they can instantly find the tire and not lose the sale.”
