BOWIE, Md. (Nov. 16, 2006) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is searching for a new director of Automotive Tire Service after the candidate TIA named during the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show declined the position.
TIA announced during the show that it was hiring training veteran Dennis Toman for the position. In the post, he would be the primary instructor for TIA training classes and seminars covering passenger and light truck tire service, including tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). TIA said Mr. Toman left his position as company service manager and trainer for Dunn Tire Corp. in Buffalo, N.Y., to join the Bowie, Md.-based trade association.
But TIA said Nov. 16 that Mr. Toman declined the post after the show, and the association will continue its search to fill the post.
