BOWIE, Md. (Nov. 9, 2006) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is joining with the technology consulting firm Salary.com to conduct the 2006 Tire Industry Compensation Survey exclusively for TIA members.
The survey will provide salary and compensation information for 16 different job positions within the commercial, retail and wholesale tire dealer industry.
“A couple of our largest members came to us and put us in touch with Salary.com,” said Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of education and technical services. “They said this survey would be a benefit that would be very useful to them.”
The association expects to complete the survey and issue results during the first quarter of 2007, Mr. Rohlwing said. TIA will make electronic copies of the survey free to all participating TIA members, and will make bound copies available to participants at $100 each.
According to the Salary.com Web site, the company builds on-demand software specializing in the area of employee compensation. “Salary.com's cutting-edge technology is integrated with actionable data and content, empowering customers to make the best decisions about pay and performance and help them to attract, motivate, reward and retain top performers,” the Web site states.
