LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2006) — Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. and West Coast Customs in Corona, Calif., announced a partnership for a series of car shows as well as a future ESPN program that will customize cars for professional athletes.
Toyo will be the official tire on vehicles modified by West Coast Customs, which has been featured on MTV´s “Pimp My Ride” series. The Corona-based company will produce a series of car shows called Kingz of Customs Live, an event that will kick off May 12 at Glenn Helen Pavilion in San Bernardino, Calif.
The Kingz of Customs Live event will feature tricked out cars, live music, signings, giveaways and more, followed by a 10-city tour to some of America´s largest markets: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Indianapolis and Charlotte, N.C.
A Toyo spokeswoman said the upcoming ESPN show featuring Toyo and West Coast Customs hasn't been named yet, but NBA star Kobe Bryant will be one of the featured athletes whose vehicle will be modified.
